Different Databases on Same Database Server
In this scenario all databases (information storage) are kept on the same database server. This allows for easy backup, maintenance & management
Different Databases on Different Database Server
In this scenario databases are kept on the differnt database servers. This allows for each company or group to support their own database on site.
Deployment Diagram
This diagram shows the concept behind Deskscape. The J2EE Compliant App Server is in a sense the brain of Deskscape. It deploys the Deskscape Application and the Web Interfaces, receives any changes made to the information inside of these, and then stores these changes to the Secure Data Server. The information is then backed up on another Data Server in a different location.
